Theatre of Europe and the European Theatre Research Network (ETRN) at University of Kent are proud to present
INTRODUCING: RADU AFRIM
A Q&A discussion over a glass of wine with the acclaimed Romanian theatre director, chaired by Henriette Morrison (Theatre of Europe), Prof. Peter Boenisch (ETRN, University of Kent) and Diana Damian Martin (Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Exeunt).
Radu Afrim, an emblematic figure and an enfant terrible of a new generation of Romanian theatre directors- as described by Randy Gener for American Theatre magazine – will speak about his work in a Q&A discussion, as part of a week-long residency with Theatre of Europe. One of the most talked-about directors on the Continent, Radu Afrim has gained international recognition and his bold and sometimes controversial work has been hosted by some of Europe’s most renowned theatres. He is also intrumental in presenting writers such as Dea Loher, Vassily Sigarev, Hanoch Levin, Jon Fosse and David Greig to the Romanian public.
The event is generously supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute in London and will take place from 18.30 on June 17th at the Institute’s Enescu Room. To reserve a seat, please follow the link below.
